Twilio is seeking a software engineer with:
- The Developer Experience team is on a mission to bee the leader in building powerful, modern developer interfaces and tooling for communications applications. Provide transparency into our platform with real-time monitoring, logging, and historical insights. Delight developers of all backgrounds as they build, scale, and grow with Twilio.
- Our Serverless team builds products that allow people to build on Twilio, not just with Twilio. With Twilio's Serverless products, developers can get their communication applications to production faster, without spending time on complex infrastructure.
- The Identity (IAM) team within TwilioX builds and operates the next generation of identity services that power security, identity and access management for all of Twilio's products.
- Full stack: You like to dive in and work up and down the technology stack
- In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language, and some experience with object-oriented programming
- You like to think at scale and design, develop and operate production microservices that meet goals of low latency, high availability, resiliency and quality in a cloud environment.
- You bring experience with complex distributed systems, comfortable with multiple programming languages and enjoy to explore and learn new programming patterns.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies and hands-on experience in at least one cloud platform: GCC, AWS, or Azure. Ability to design and develop cloud-based systems and operate them in an automated fashion.
- Experience working with and operating SQL databases, and NoSQL is a plus
- The ability to communicate well- in person, on paper, or in code. You can explain technical concepts to product managers, other engineers, and support
- Empathy for your customers and teammates
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related equivalent experience required.
- Build new features! Architect new systems and design APIs with a focus on scalability, testability, and maintainability
- Work with other engineering teams and with members of the product organisation to distill internal and customer needs into requirements and tech specs
- Work with the other team leads to create the product roadmap and plan sprints, review code and helping more junior developers by mentoring them, providing guidance, and positively influencing their careers.
- Help resolve technical issues and blockers for internal and external customers
- Drive high engineering standards on the team through code review, automated testing, and mentoring. We care what our code looks like, and you should too
- Collaborate with colleagues on a small, energetic team
