Game Developer At Twenty Billion Neurons GmbH

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

Overview:
TwentyBN creates the world's first human-like A.I. avatars that can see and naturally interact with humans in the real world. Our avatars serve as digital instructors, companions, sales associates, and more. TwentyBN is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Game Developer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in producing and animating new and pre-existing characters, primarily using Unity. You will be involved in various aspects of creation from concept and story writing to the coding and programming.



Employment Term: Part-time or Full-time (three-month initial contract with potential for longer term)
Experience: 1+ years
Education: Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Multimedia or equivalent
Location: Toronto



What you'll be doing:

  • Develop Unity based 3D experiences, in particular, around 3D animated character development
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in a C# development environment
  • Be involved in various aspects of development - design, coding, mechanics, animation, prototyping, asset management, testing, and debugging
  • Create prototypes of concepts and new features, translate ideas into experiences
  • You will be translating client objectives into creative, memorable, and beautiful characters & interactions
  • Create builds, and participate in developing and maintaining the interface between Unity and TwentyBN's real-time perception system
  • Participate in building and maintaining our expanding library of characters
  • Team mentality — you will work with researchers, engineers and management to execute a shared vision of truly life-like, interactive A.I. characters


Who we are looking for?

  • You have a Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Multimedia or equivalent
  • You have a strong experience working with the Unity Engine
  • Good knowledge of the latest version Unity 3D (4.3) is required
  • You have strong knowledge in design and coding (C#)
  • Strong understanding of game engines, game networking and graphics pipelines
  • Knowledge of Python and C++ is an asset
  • Familiarity with creating unity shaders
  • Intermediate experience with Unity's rendering pipeline
  • Contributions to an open source project (include a portfolio or Github profile)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team-player
  • Ability to coordinate between time zones and work in collaboration with our office overseas
  • Self-motivated and thrives in a demanding dynamic environment
