ASSOCIATE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER At Tweezerman International

Reporting to the Global Senior Product Development Manager this individual will be responsible for managing multiple product timelines, from conceptualization to launch and beyond, work closely with external engineers, supporting product forecasts, and meeting with suppliers to discuss new product developments.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conceptualize new product ideas that support product line and contribute to innovation growth
  • Conduct competitive product assessments
  • Lead new product developments; ensure new products meet brand guidelines and required product specifications; ensure product time schedule and budget
  • Work with international cross-functional teams including sourcing, supply chain and quality control through all phases of the product development process to ensure new launches meet required specifications, time schedule and budget
  • Arrange new item samples and distribution to key markets
  • Anticipate potential schedule delays and initiate plan for alternative actions
  • Support product forecasts for new item launches with key markets and supply chain to ensure on-time launches
  • Meet with suppliers to discuss new product development and ensure products meet specifications

Assist with executing Product Training

Job Requirements

As a successful Associate Product Development Manager, you must be an inspiring leader with at least 5 years of product management experience, preferably in the cosmetics / beauty industries. You must have outstanding project management, organizational/planning, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Your success will depend upon your ability to execute multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams to work within your timelines.

Additionally:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required
  • Minimum of 4 years of product management experience, preferably in cosmetics, beauty, or industrial goods
  • Excellent project management skills, plus for familiarity with Agile work frame
  • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Creative thinker who is up to date on the latest trends
  • Exhibits general beauty industry curiosity and enthusiasm
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Adobe (Photoshop, Acrobat) preferred
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time (Europe, China, India)
