Overview:

The UX designer will be responsible for designing a suite of products in order to enhance our customer’s experiences on various platforms. Working in a dedicated cross-functional Agile team, the UX designer will contribute their ideas and solutions based on a deep understanding of user needs, behaviours, best practices and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create user flows, site maps, wire frames, mock-ups and prototypes to communicate the user journey
  • Ensure AODA compliance in designed solutions
  • Conduct UX audits and identify areas for enhancement
  • Conduct user research, interviews and surveys and synthesize data for analysis
  • Strong understanding of Info Architecture and Content Strategy as it relates to the overall user experience
  • Create and maintain design specifications and contribute to a style guide
  • Adapt to and learn new practices, techniques and technologies
  • Establish and adhere to user experience standards and practices

Qualifications:

  • University degree required with 1-3 years of experience as a UX designer
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant work (use cases, scenarios, solutions)
  • Strong understanding of usability concepts, heuristic principles and established design patterns
  • Able to iterate designs and solutions effectively
  • Solid understanding of responsive design
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, Front End design and CMS environments
  • Strong working knowledge of: Sketch, Axure, InVision and associated design tools
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative Agile environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Very strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and analyze the pros and cons
