Salary Range: $59,568.60 - $69,833.40

Location: Toronto, Yonge & Eglinton (on the Yonge subway line)

Overview:


Do you understand how social media works to build audience and users for a product? Is it second nature for you to use marketing analytics and insights to drive meaningful audience and user growth through social channels? Do you enjoy finding new ways to grow – both tried-and-true and innovative? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment? Do you thrive in environments of constant change? You will be part of a new team which will drive audience and user growth for TVO’s full breadth of digital learning, current affairs and documentary offerings. Reporting to the Manager of Audience Development, you will be responsible for social media activities to drive audience and user growth for TVO. This role will be involved in planning as well as day-to-day technical and executional activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive audience growth by designing and executing creative solutions to attract, engage and retain more visitors, users, and donors to TVO and the TVO portfolio of products through social media
  • Develop and manage TVO social channels, including ongoing monitoring, posting, response, and paid boosting
  • Work with content and design teams to prepare campaigns
  • Write and evolve copy with the objective of building audience and increasing conversion
  • Track social media progress in weekly reports across various metrics linked to audience growth
  • Set-up and use data to spot opportunities and optimize results
  • Collaborate with our analytics, brand, content and product teams to drive user growth and engagement
  • Help TVO understand and interpret the behavior of its users and the content they consume
  • Identify emerging social media trends and platforms
  • Support the audience development manager in the development of strategies and plans to build audience for TVO content, registrants for TVO products, and donors
  • Coordinate budgets and process invoices related to audience growth and acquisition
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, including a proven track record in delivering audience growth
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • A proven and effective community manager
  • Strong experience working in cross-functional teams and designing and managing projects to completion
  • Strong working experience in using a range of social media analytics tools
  • Deep understanding of various social media platforms and the different strategies they require
  • Familiarity with Social tools like Hootsuite, Buffer or similar.
  • Expert with native social platform reporting
  • Expertise in paid audience targeting and conversion tracking
  • A data-driven approach with a willingness to experiment and adapt to fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated desire for action with a positive energy and can-do attitude
  • Proven ability to build relationships to achieve results
  • Strong writing and communication skills
