The Staff Accountant provides financial analysis to maintain the integrity of the financial statements. This role also ensures the accuracy and reliability of labor and capitalization calculations.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintains and calculates performance-based compensation using analytical skills and tiered
Compute period end accruals for all labor accounts.
Capitalization reconciliations and analysis.
Prepares monthly journal entries.
Produces financial statements activity.
Financial analysis/GL reconciliations of labor accounts.
All other tasks as assigned.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Senior Accounting Manager. This position has no direct reports.
NVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Examples include: telephone operator and file clerk.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

? Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Certified Public Accountant
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Strong accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP.
Strong analytical skills especially in the areas of labor and capitalization.
Intermediate to Advance Excel experience.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Financial statement preparation experience.
