Marketing and Events Manager At Taylor Gourmet

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:<br><br>An Events & Marketing Manager with The ONE Group is responsible for the promotion and sale of venue spaces along with food and beverage offerings as well as the development and implementation of effective branding, marketing, advertising, public relations, digital and promotional strategies.<br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES - EVENTS<br> Coordinate all sales for specified venue<br> Maintain fiscal responsibility for budgeted goals<br> Negotiate terms with clients, write contracts and create BEOs under department’s National parameters<br> Research markets to identify opportunities for events (cold calls)<br> Attend weekly offsite networking events for solicitation of new business<br> Host monthly on site networking events for maintenance of current relationships and development of new relationships (with a marketing focus as well)<br> Develop new and maintain current relationships with local hotels sales team to generate business for specific property<br> Solicit specific market segments target companies for cold calling, sales visits, etc to create relationships and generate revenue<br> Solicit both promotional & corporate paid events<br> Arrange and be present for site visits with clients<br> Assist and oversee day of event setup and logistics and venue Managers<br> Greet client at start of event and oversee operation of events to completion<br> Liaison with venue management to ensure proper event execution during events<br> Create BEO Packets that are distributed and reviewed at the Weekly Manager Meeting<br> Maintain Deposit Received, Refunds and Collected Cancellation Fees log<br> Review final receipts from events daily before they are inputted to TripleSeat’s “Actual Revenue”, ensure all events have been rung in properly<br> Submit month end close out report, including all deposits redeemed/received to GM, DO and Corp Director<br> Participate in the organization of in-house promotional events<br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES - MARKETING<br> Work closely with regional and corporate marketing team as well as venue management to create and maintain highly effective marketing campaigns and promotions whilst maintaining brand image and yearly budget<br> Assist in developing and creating annual marketing and PR plans (with monthly metric tracking)<br> Conduct market research within loyal customer base as well as performing competitive analysis of market competitors<br> Create and track quarterly goals to measure the success of venue(s) marketing and PR plan while maintaining flexibility and creativity should annual plans need to be amended based on market trend assessments<br> Provide content for venue’s comprehensive social media to Social Media & Digital Manager<br> Create informative content for venue website – including landing pages for all current promotions, seasonal promotions and consistent monitoring of venue hours, menus, etc.<br> Work with operations team and to monitor online reputation management<br> Oversee, along with Regional Marketing Manager, local PR agency by creating and providing media-worthy assets such as menus, promotions, celebrity sightings, etc.<br> Assist in developing a comprehensive public relations campaigns for online, print and broadcast opportunities<br> Coordinate the development, printing and distribution of marketing collateral with in-house Graphic Designer<br> Create and summarize weekly reports and attend meeting with local team and corporate office<br> Maintain master database and strategize creative ways to communicate with guests (management email campaign database, OT database, etc.)<br> Organize, supervise and negotiate (with legal where applicable) contracts for photo shoots and TV/movie filming for venues<br> Research new marketing tools, culinary trends, advertising websites, and set up meetings with outside vendors<br> Other duties as assigned<br><br>QUALIFICATIONS/PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:<br> Bachelor’s Degree<br> Minimum of 5 years experience in Event Management/ Public Relations, Marketing or Communications field experience<br> Strong emphasis in Event Sales is a must<br> Hospitality/food-related experience preferred<br> Enthusiastic, organized and responsible<br> Experience and willingness to learn and teach others<br> Previous experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Micros a plus<br> Able to multi task and able to remain calm in the face of adversity and high stress environments<br> Very well organized with the ability to set and meet deadlines<br> Demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
