Associate Financial Analyst At Red Lobster

Location: Orlando, Florida

Job Description

Job Summary
The Culinary System Analyst ensures the accuracy of product, recipe, and culinary and beverage database systems. The Analyst will support national promotions, tests, and core menu changes. Additionally, the Analyst partners with cross-functional departments and Red Lobster leadership to maintain and upgrade system functionality, troubleshoot issues and ensure Company financial commitments are met.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and RSC Leadership to provide support to help deliver restaurant sales and earnings growth in support of financial commitments

  • Cost recipes based on information provided by culinary and provide feedback to optimize margin and improve guest experience

  • Maintain financial forecasts and reconcile against expected results

  • Providing analysis that recognizes both successes and opportunities

  • Leverage systems and utilize data analysis to determine the financial impact of initiatives

  • Analyze, identify, and communicate emerging trends and their impact so action is prioritized appropriately

  • Develop and execute key performance indicators and reports for critical business activities

  • Develop and implement analytical tools

  • Proactively identify discrepancies in data, determine cause and communicate questions/ adjustments to appropriate accounting departments

  • Provide reports, analysis and participate in special projects as needed

  • Collaborate on sourcing and product deployment activities with cross-functional stakeholders in finance, marketing, operations and purchasing functions to ensure continuous supply of goods to restaurants

  • Identifies and implements process improvements that lead to more efficient management and communication of menu information

  • Required:

    Education and Experience
    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business or related field OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

    Skills
  • Solid understanding of restaurant menu structures including required choices versus optional choices

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong knowledge of Excel

  • Solid critical thinking skills

  • Preferred:

    Education and Experience
  • Experience with cost of good sold and maintaining databases

  • Skills
    Knowledge of Oracle Financial, Hyperion, and accounting and data retrieval systems a plus

    Other Qualifications
  • Ability to operate, maintain, query and update databases and systems

  • Possess remarkable attention to detail with high aptitude for producing accurate work autonomously

  • Troubleshoots issues calmly and effectively under pressure

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
