Talan | Planaxis is looking for a Business Analyst for a permanent position in downtown Montreal
Study and analyze business requirements, functions, and processes in fixed income and equities securities processing domain.
Drive toward tech/non-tech solutions, assess either tactical or strategic approaches, assess/provide costs and timeframe of solution.
Coordinate solution workshops, document requirements with sponsors and acquire signoffs.
Bridge precise and detailed business requirements with developers and ensure accuracy of technical specifications covering the requirement.
Coordinate with users to produce comprehensive test plan and develop user signoff criteria. Hands-on involvement in analysis and documentation of testing results and review with end-users.
Participate in design of new architecture in relation to IS strategy.
Proven expertise as business analyst in investment banking on securities and cash products (Equity and Fixed Income Settlement and Clearance) in Technology team.
Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector.
Advanced skills in interfacing with business clients (front office, accounting, and risk) to comprehend and document business requirements and their priority as well as develop technical or user process solutions.
Advanced skills in interfacing with teams of developers, solid familiarity with major SDLC approaches (accent on Agile methods family).
Excellent communication and written skills.
Bachelor or Master in Finance, Business Administration, or Computers/Engineering (has to incorporate with Financial degrees)
Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments and projects.
Ability to lead project team.
Ability to coordinate and facilitate project execution and delivery commitment with other teams under different operational time zones (Asset)
Proactive on taking leadership when needed, self-motivated, dynamic and result oriented (Asset)
Team player with collaborate attitude, able to maintain elevated level of discipline within the given SDLC process (Asset)
Familiar with Broadridge applications (BPS/IMPACT/FinancePro) (Asset)
2+ years Excel, Word, Microsoft Power Point.
2+ years SQL.
1+ years of project management tools or Microsoft Project Manager.
Minimum of 5 years with IT business analysis experience in Capital Market trading and/or settlement systems.
2+ years of experience directly interfacing with business clients (front office, middle office and back office) to comprehend and develop technical or user process solutions.
2+ years of experience working as project manager and leading tech and non-tech teams.
