The Plains Internship Program has been specifically designed to provide students the opportunity to apply their academic studies and gain valuable experience through meaningful and challenging work. Student opportunities are available for January 2019 in a variety of our business groups which may include:

Supply & Marketing
Commercial Facilities
Commercial Pipelines
Crude Oil/LPG Trading
Risk Management
NGL Supply
Logistics
Responsibilities may include:
Achieve and complete assigned tasks as outlined at the beginning of the work term;
Complete an assigned project;
Work with the commercial team to update volumes, movements and processing within Plains’ Right Angle system
Analyze volumetric variances provide explanations;
Complete monthly volumetric balancing by facility
Participate in daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for internal and external requirements;
Prepare and contribute to presentations and reporting by supplying required analytical components;
Continually identifying areas of improvements, documenting potential efficiencies and participating in process improvement opportunities;
Ad hoc analytical assignments and reporting as required; and
Liaising with other departments as required.
Prepare monthly accounting schedules and reconciliations
Attend internal/external meetings, where applicable; and
Liaising with other departments as required.
Qualifications:
Must be available for either 4, 8 and/or 12-month work terms starting January 2019
Students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Economics and/or Computer Science and have completed their first year of studies.
Preference will be given to students enrolled in co-op programs through their post-secondary institute
Ideal candidates are analytical, creative, connected, entrepreneurial and passionate
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while demonstrating strong analytical and organizational skills;
Proven flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing business conditions and;
Excellent computer and communication skills.
