Job Description

Pixieset is seeking a Digital Designer who is a generalist with a digital focus to join us in working across all types of projects at Pixieset — from web and mobile products, to our brand voice and marketing campaigns. You will improve our current product and help design our next generation features. You will also implement style guides, act as advocates for design work, and work directly with our engineers. You will become the creative force responsible for creating simple, beautiful products at Pixieset. The ideal candidate is a brilliant problem solver, self starter, and has a lot of passion for great design and the ability to achieve it. The candidate possesses that rare blend of visual design, interaction design, and prototyping skills.

Your responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with our engineers and product owner to deliver new product features from conception to launch
• Create detailed wireframes and click-through prototypes
• Delivered high-fidelity mockups and assets to other team members
• Continually seek and improve the capabilities as well as limitation of the system
• Envision and deliver a winning product experience

Qualifications

You should be passionate about creating the experience of new features, to the craft of every little detail in the product. You should have strong visual design skills and the ability to transform your ideas into products. You care about user interaction design, typography and layout and usability, and everything involved in designing a simple, beautiful product.

Ideally you are/have:

• Bachelor of Arts or Design in a relevant field (interactive design, new media, usability) or equivalent experience preferred
• 3+ years of digital design experience
• An outstanding portfolio showcasing a strong foundation in visual design, typography, interaction and ideation.
• Proven ability to design for cross-platform and across all levels of fidelity (whiteboard to high-fidelity)
• A solid understanding of how web and mobile applications work
• Experience using tools like Sketch and Adobe suite
• Keen to unleash your creativity and make an impact
• Nice to have - Have domain experience in the photography and creative space
