Pinnguaq Association, a not-for-profit organization, develops and leads STEAM camps, workshops and learning resources. At its core, Pinnguaq embraces diversity and creates opportunities in order to empower all people through the use of digital technology tools.
Pinnguaq is hiring six Digital Skills Stewards to deliver coding workshops and camps in remote communities in Canada. We're looking for someone who has a passion for teaching digital technology to youth and who has the leadership ability to manage a classroom and deliver lessons as part of a small team.
Duties
Experience/Education
A combination of experience in Education and Technology would be ideal in this position.
Knowledge of work with remote and Indigenous communities and underserved groups is essential to this position.
Working Knowledge Of:
The required skills would normally be acquired through the completion of a Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood Education, Masters of Education, or Computer Science degree.
Equivalencies that consist of an acceptable combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
Must be able to provide a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable sector screening.
