We are currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our PingFederate Integrations team. PingFederate provides a full-featured and highly versatile federation solution that allows users to securely access all the applications they need with a single authentication from any device. It supports all current identity standards like SAML, WS-Federation, WS-Trust, OAuth and OpenID Connect, and it’s recognized as the industry leading federation server.

Integrations build on top of this powerful core functionality, allowing PingFederate to support 3rd party authentication systems and applications. Ultimately this enables our technology to complement what our customers already use - not replace it. You will be an active member of this growing development team, paired alongside of QA engineers to deliver new integrations to the market. Job Functions:

• Contribute as part of an agile development team using the latest tools.
• Develop new integrations, maintain and extend existing ones.
• Support your peers in the end to end development including: reviewing test plans, defects, security vulnerabilities, performance reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with team leads, specialist engineers and product management to deliver highly polished, out of the box integrations.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2-5 years of software development experience.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Java and familiarity with many related frameworks including: Java EE and Apache Commons.
• Extensive experience in consuming REST APIs.
• Basics of front-end development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Comfortable with standard development tools: IDEs (Eclipse or IntelliJ), source control system (Git), build and CI platforms.
• Good understanding of HTTP and how the web works.
• Broad knowledge of PKI including the use of TLS/SSL certificates.
• Exceptional problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to coordinate with team members to get the job done.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Broad understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and related protocols: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, RADIUS and SCIM.
• Experience with Ping Identity or other IAM software stacks.
• Passion for end user experience and design.
