The Professional Services Director - IT is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the software delivery projects assigned to him. He is responsible for reviewing and implementing new internal procedures and for managing project deliveries.
Lead and manage a team of project managers and integrators and track their projects, including scope, budgets, timelines, risks and issues. Monitor and supervise the work performed, and manage on-site and off-site employee productivity levels
Provide technical expertise to his team on technological issues such as the connectivity strategy and information migration, development of interfaces between systems, configuration of enterprise application systems in cloud computing, optimization and automation of tests and deployments
Ensure that projects are delivered efficiently in accordance with the constraints established by internal and external clients
Identify, understand, validate and prioritize business issues at the process, system and organizational levels
Mapping the current state of the department's processes and making the necessary changes
Raise awareness among the various stakeholders to the required efforts and impacts in the delivery of the projects at the financial, technical, security and compliance levels
Monitor the quality and performance of ongoing projects and develop action plans to correct problems. Identify possible solutions and costs that may be encountered
Manage and control any significant changes to the scope, budget, schedule or content of key projects
Ensure that retrospective analysis are conducted at the end of each project, and that lessons learned are shared with those involved to facilitate optimal knowledge transfer
Manage resources allocated and assigned to projects and ensure that skills are used effectively
Supervise and guide project managers to promote their ongoing training on the software
Present progress reports (i.e. key indicators, resource plans, budgets, etc.) to senior management
Excellent knowledge of the latest technologies in the field of e-commerce
Experience in implementing procedures, solutions and business systems
Ability to build trusting relationships and excellent communication skills
Perfectly bilingual (spoken and written, English and French)
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in IT or another relevant field
Years of Work Experience:
More than 10 years' experience in department management of IT project delivery
More than 10 years' experience in software development field or integration of retail applications
Experience in change management
