Specialist, Digital Messaging At Loblaw Digital

This role will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Digital Messaging in driving engagement and sales through our Digital Messaging programs for the Loyalty business and Financial Services. This role will focus on implementing various marketing and transactional communications, building weekly email campaigns, implementing testing plans and reporting/analysis.


Accountabilities

  • Build, test and deploy campaigns requested by various internal stakeholders that will support business objectives of driving engagement and revenue
  • Define and implement audience segmentation strategies that are crafted in partnership with Marketing Intelligence and Marketing teams
  • Develop and execute A/B and multivariate test strategies to garner insights and optimize results
  • Prepare briefs, coordinate assets and timelines with various third-party agencies
  • Perform campaign reporting and analysis to help the business understand campaign effectiveness and to inform future testing strategies
  • Partner with Senior Manager, Digital Messaging to define, implement and monitor customer lifecycle and automated programs such as; New Customer, Cart Abandonment, Winback, etc.
  • Quality assurance to ensure campaigns are deployed error-free and automated programs and processes are running smoothly

Responsibilities

  • University or college degree in business – marketing specifically an asset
  • 3-5 years previous experience in marketing/project management with at least 2 years of email marketing experience
  • Training and experience with HTML, particularly email coding and development
  • Experience with an Email Service Provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target preferred)
  • Experience with analytics software such as Omniture or Adobe Analytics is ideal
  • Hands-on experience with multivariate testing and analysis
  • Creative problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong work ethic
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Photoshop or similar programs considered a plus
  • Strong analytical background
  • Good understanding of Email Marketing strategies and direct marketing principles, as well as email best practices;
