Senior Research Analyst At Loblaw Digital

Location: Toronto, Ontario

The impact you'll make
In this role, you would be a part of the Quantitative Research team whose mandate is to create insight programs which surface the voice of our customers across the business, uncovering friction and high points in our experience. You will be active in building a human-centered culture and empowering teams with insights needed to make customer-centered change.
In this role you will shape, and frame analysis needs with a Quantitative Research Lead to support a cross-functional team (Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Operations).
You will be accountable for framing analysis problems, collaboratively deciding on the right route forward and creating clear, impactful outputs. You will be comfortable synthesising data into insights from a variety of sources to create impactful narratives. You will be able to think critically about research and analysis problems, ask clarifying questions and deliver outputs to a high standard.

What you'll do

  • Integrate customer insights with the Digital businesses through the use of various customer data sources (including internal tracking programs, ad-hoc research, data analytics, customer experience, social media) to provide a comprehensive understanding of customers’ needs
  • Work with Quantitative Research Lead developing business storytelling to provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Be the expert and advocate for the voice of our customers through analysis of quantitative research and feedback
  • Develop analytical approaches for briefs which are most effective at surfacing quantitative research, including partnerships with other analytical functions and qualitative research partners
  • Utilise analytical software such as Tableau, Google Cloud Platform, Bit Query, SQL to perform end to end analysis of large data sets
  • Develop dashboarding and automation of regular reporting needs, in order to prioritise time for bespoke analysis which can drive change

Does this sound like you?

  • 2+ years’ experience in an analytical, research or insight role, ideally analysing and integrating research into the design of experiences and propositions
  • A university degree in an analytical discipline or a human-centered discipline (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction)
  • You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders
  • Help build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to influence business tactics and solutions by bringing the Voice of the Customer to the conversation
  • Experience working with large scale data in multi-method studies;
  • Experience prioritizing time between multiple projects and managing projects involving cross-functional disciplines.

  • Bonus Qualifications:
  • An understanding and interest of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including qualitative, including when and how to apply them during product development processes and apply them to strategy
  • Knowledge of user-centered design methods;
  • Experience in product, service or UX design
  • Passion for emerging tech and trends in one or more of the: grocery shopping, beauty, pharmacy, and apparel spaces.
