Director, Demand Generation At Loblaw Digital

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

The Director of Demand Generation, Loblaw Digital will:

  • Lead/Oversee and execute measurable demand creation programs
  • Lead development of demand generation acquisition and retention strategies for Loblaw Digital businesses including Joe Fresh, Click and Collect, beautyBOUTIQUE, and other digital properties
  • Lead planning efforts for future years, to help drive ongoing business growth.
  • Develop attribution models for the various eComm businesses and guide the Demand Generation Team's customer analytics approach that integrates ROAS, CPA, and standardized KPIs with key internal stakeholders (Marketing, Trading, Product, etc) to ensure appropriate measures of success are established
  • Work closely with retail brand marketing teams to support their growth strategy and leverage digital to drive brick + mortar visits, quantify and articulate influence of digital advertising on retail businesses
  • Oversee and implement sophisticated and data driven campaigns across numerous channels from social ads, retargeting and SEM to affiliate, display and programmatic and take ultimate accountability for customer pipeline, CAC, and ROAS
  • Identify opportunities to engage and acquire new customers to our e-commerce businesses, including implementing new channels, platforms and technologies
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly demand generation planning with key business units, measure results and share actionable insight with management teams
  • Continuously challenge the status quo, think outside the box, and provide stimulus for creative and innovative solutions
  • Manage a wide-array of contractors and technology tools and build close working relationships with our digital advertising agencies and advertising partners (eg. Google, Facebook, etc)
  • Work with digital marketing agency and internal stakeholders to optimize existing SEO and campaigns to drive performance towards enterprise goals

    Manage, mentor and grow our demand generation team across the board

    What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or similar)
  • 8+ years of experience in online marketing or a related role, with prior experience in retail and/or ecommerce a plus
  • 5+ years of hands on experience managing digital marketing channels such as SEO, SEM, paid social media, affiliate, display, retargeting and others
  • Experience and expertise in attribution modeling and marketing automation
  • Be a natural-born marketer who can use data to make strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and ambiguous environment
  • Knowledge of digital media concepts and direct consumer response techniques, such as segmentation, targeting, a/b and multivariate testing
  • Experience managing a high performing team of marketers
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator with ability to clearly convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences
  • Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is adaptable to the changing market and organizational requirements
  • Metrics driven and results-oriented with demonstrated analytical skills
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task, set measurable objectives, manage defined timelines and budgets for each campaign
