Senior Director, Process and Systems At Loblaw Companies Limited

Location: Brampton, Ontario

Why is this role important?

Responsibilities:

  • Provide vision, strategy, framework, and execution plan for each work stream
  • Building relationships across Supply Chain and with vendor community whereby we strive for win-win outcomes and a transparent means to communicate
  • Connecting to industry trends and disruption, and consider how these things can apply to our business in an agile way
  • Pursue partnerships internally and externally, whereby we can become industry leaders or disruptors in how we support the end-to-end supply chain network
  • Assess, explore and roll out new innovative technology applications and best practices
  • Ensure systems have a multi-year road map that will meet the needs of the business (WMS, TMS, ....)
  • Expand the content included in each work stream to spread the adoption of the one-way of operating
  • Ensure consistency of Business Support approach and products for each work stream
  • Establish and execute up line governance processes on plans, schedule and work being pursued
  • Establish Internal Governance Process for operational process and analytics
  • Ensure results are being achieved to meet business needs
  • Focus on overall leadership: support the building of an integrated talent plan that defines requirements, what good looks like, measures gaps and sets plans to close the gaps through development
  • Consider and initiate discussion on the evolution and strategy on how the business will change over time, operationalizing corporate strategy, industry trends and best supply chain practice
  • Educate and manage resistance to change and use the change management model to achieve business results

Qualifications:

  • 7 – 10 years’ experience in a supply chain or retail organization
  • 5 – 7 years’ Supervisory/Management experience
  • University or College degree in Industrial Engineering, computer science, business technology management, or supply chain management is ideal
  • A people leader who is a model of Blue Culture principles, of being authentic, making connections and building trust with colleagues throughout the organization and beyond
  • Proven experience in Project Management and resource planning, demonstrating effective creative solutions to deadlines and resource limitations.
  • Experience with wide range of systems and applications related to managing supply chain systems and sub divisions
  • Expertise and proven practical application process management, Analytics, Measurement and Data science
  • Extensive experience in managing and leading others, establishing missing, vision, objectives and their completion
  • Extensive experience in converting abstract or ambiguous objectives into workable solutions and projects
  • Certification in 6 Sigma, Lean Methods, APIC, Supply Chain Logistics or other related technical skills strongly desired
  • Ability to build relationships influence and/or negotiate with both internal and external contacts at
