The Data, Insights & Analytics team seeks to see, know and act better on behalf of our customers. We work with teams from across the organization and a tremendous wealth of data, to drive innovation and build analytic capabilities to support transformational initiatives.

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist, Data Science. Reporting to the Senior Director, Data Science the incumbent will drive the development and implementation of a marketing measurement to increase marketing effectiveness and deliver meaningful business outcomes.

The successful candidate will have solid working knowledge of the disciplines of marketing science, including tracking and measurement, data visualization, testing and evaluation, data integration, process automation, statistical and predictive modeling. The role requires hands-on experience applying analytic techniques to solve real-world business problems and marketing challenges.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with marketing team to understand existing processes, identify areas of opportunities and implement measurement roadmap – including the build of data foundations/assets to support the roadmap
  • Build and support measurement and performance reporting, and design and execute in-market tests to better understand the impact of marketing channels and activities, with a focus on digital media
  • Build a data-driven culture though collaboration with other Data, Insights & Analytics teams and a focus on critical thinking and problem formulation
  • Find the optimal balance between scientific rigor and practical application to improve decision making and drive tangible business impact
  • Contribute to the development of models to enhance targeting and attribution, drive customer engagement, and deepen our understanding of customers.
  • Increase internal adoption of test design, statistical measurement and advanced analytics methodologies
  • Coach, train and mentor junior team members and help build an inclusive team culture

What You'll Bring:

  • University degree in an analytical field of study (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science). Postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of work experience directly related to quantitative analysis with proven results. In a marketing function in retail is an asset
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, Azure, Databricks, Google Cloud or other tools for large scale data analysis. Experience working in a cloud environment is preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of data mining, statistical modeling, segmentation, predictive modeling, econometrics and marketing/media mix modeling
  • Experience with machine learning, Scikit-learn, Keras and/or Tensorflow would be an asset
  • Superb critical thinking and problem-solving skills to not only manipulate data but also derive meaningful interpretations from data and ability to articulate in in a simple and impactful way
  • Ability to take initiative, handle multi-tasking and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to liaise with all levels across the enterprise and foster strong business relationships
  • You are a strong detail orientation and quick learner
