Job Description
LeverageTek is currently seeking a Financial Advisor (Insurance Claims) for a 3 month contract position (possible extension) with its Ottawa based client.
Responsibilities
Sitting in on case file reviews
Review casefiles of those for uninsured/under insured losses – recommendations of reimbursement
Document case files with insurance decisions
Identify trends in insurance decisions / coverage during a response
Provide advice re: filing a claim / navigating claims process
Potential travel when required to visit claims sites
General presentations on insurance may be required to both internal and external stakeholders
Other corporate insurance duties as assigned
Type of insurance: Residential insurance, construction insurance, corporate insurance
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years as a Financial Analyst (or similar role) supporting insurance claims
Strong knowledge and prior working experience in the Insurance Services sector (other sector experience will be considered such as Legal sector)
Knowledge and understanding of industry trends in the insurance sector related to claims management
Assets
Experience in program design and program launch an asset
Experience with emergency management and disaster relief insurance claims is a strong asset
