IT - SQL Developer (WMS) At LeSaint Logistics

Location: Bolingbrook, Illinois

Job Description

As part of the IT Services team and reporting to the Senior Director of IT Services, the SQL/WMS Business Analyst will support LeSaint's warehouse management system, Manhattans' Supply Chain Architected for Logistics Execution (SCALE) based on the Microsoft .net and SQL architecture. The SQL/WMS Business Analyst will be an integral part of the client onboarding and implementation process. The SQL/WMS Business Analyst will be responsible for configuring the WMS application as needed to meet the 3PL environment needs of LeSaint and their clients. Working with all levels of the organization, provide level one support for questions/issues. The SQL/WMS Business Analyst will be involved in numerous facets of the 3PL business including, order processing (picking, shipping, receiving, etc.), and will frequently interact with customers. The SQL/WMS Business Analyst will provide a reasonable assessment of the time and effort to complete a requested task.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to internal and external customers for all Manhattan SCALE WMS related issues.
  • Configuration and testing of Manhattan SCALE WMS software. Training users on software use.
  • Proficiency with SQL, SQL SSRS and SSIS is required.
  • Create SQL tables, stored procedures, queries, SSRS reports and SSIS packages.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and performance tune Microsoft SQL databases and clusters.
  • Works with software vendor support to identify and resolve issues.
  • Utilize help desk software, email and phone communication to track and report issues.
  • Work with users to troubleshoot identify bugs and resolve open issues.
  • Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical individuals to resolve issues.
  • Effectively communicate requirements and deliverables to all levels of the organization.
  • Responsible for measuring performance and recovery of system applications including Manhattan's SCALE WMS.
  • Exposure to .NET, Zebra label code, Tableau, data warehousing or other programming is helpful.
  • Knowledge of database design with concurrency optimization is helpful.
  • 24x7 on call in a rotation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


A minimum of 2 years related experience with formal training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S) from a College or University or equivalent technical certification is desirable.


  • Hands on experience working with warehouse management systems from implementation to configuration is desirable.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues related to performance, and efficiency.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
