We seek a HANDS-ON, enthusiastic Marketing professional to plan, develop, organize and lead programs and activities using social media, newspapers, online resources, community newsletters, direct mail, magazines and advertising options to attract potential residents to our upscale continuous care community. The candidate reports to the CEO and works closely with the Admissions Director and management team to respond to ongoing assignments. Advance planning skills a must to organize events and programs that connect to our audience of senior adults, family members, friends and guardians. Excellent writing and concept skills required to create collateral marketing materials including brochures, flyers, ads, letters, posters and sales materials. Familiarity in directing graphic arts and design functions. Must take initiative to recognize competitive changes in the market and healthcare industry. Public speaking and community liaison skills helpful, as well as personable demeanor. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher), Google platforms and design software. Experience developing a social media strategy and knowledge of how to measure a successful campaign.
Full-time position- 40 hours a week, predominantly days, occasional evenings and weekends.
Education- Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising or Communications/Media/Journalism. Masters degree preferred but not required.
Experience- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a similar capacity or position within the senior retirement industry.
Plan, develop organize and lead Marketing and Advertising activities using a variety of media to attract potential residents to K-B House and keep the name familiar to the public.
Continuously review, evaluate and create or modify K-B marketing and promotional materials to keep updated information available. Work closely with CEO and Director of Admissions to assess various needs.
Review and develop annual Marketing budget in anticipation of expenses relating to marketing brochures and advertising pieces, programs, equipment, furnishings, rental needs and sponsorship fees.
Make and maintain contacts with community and organizational leaders, Chambers of Commerce and senior organizations to create awareness and a connection to the K-B community.
Oversee direct mail projects targeting zip codes, age and income demographics.
Maintain professional relationship with K-B families and residents and respond to requests as needed.
Accept or assign speaking engagements with local and regional organizations, discussing aging and healthcare topics of interest to the public.
Oversee registration, fees and table/booth assignments for local senior fairs, business events and community activities.
Write releases and feature stories about K-B activities, residents and staff.
Authorize change of copy, blogs and pictures for the K-B website. Work closely with our website design company and give directives.
Keep apprised of recognition awards or programs in which K-B staff or resident nominations can be submitted for consideration and recognition.
Visit competing retirement communities, collect competitive advertising and stay current with any changes affecting the local marketplace.
Prepare quarterly Board reports for submission to K-B directors.
Develop and maintain good rapport with on-site medical personnel and support services to ensure updated information available to residents for their comprehensive plan of care.
Discuss short- and long-term Marketing plans and prioritize ongoing project work with CEO.
Regularly take or assign pictures or video segments of K-B marketing events, Life Enrichment activities, staff recognition and site changes that can be posted on our website or on Facebook/LinkedIn
Attend seminars, specialty programs and industry conferences to keep abreast of trends and changes that may impact the organization.
Strive for maximum occupancy and Wait List status for all levels of care and independent living communities.
Assist in recommending or implementing changes that best serve the interests of the community.
Maintain an active role with community groups to keep the K-B name prominent.
