Kinder Morgan’s Canadian terminal network is expanding. Located in one of the busiest port cities in North America, our Vancouver Wharves’ location is one of the largest terminals on the West Coast and handles both liquids and bulk products. We are seeking candidates who will help us grow our bulk operations at the terminal.
We are currently seeking to fill the role of Applications Development Analyst to effectively support our Vancouver Wharves location with their complex computing infrastructure and computerized business solutions. The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Works collaboratively with the business and controls department to understand business requirements and determine, develop and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements. Solutions may be in-house developed or purchased packages.
Effectively communicates with the operations, maintenance, control and the IS&T team
Understanding the business processes and functions of the business area;
Understanding, using, and following corporate standards, processes and procedures;
Understanding the Company technology infrastructure and working within that infrastructure when deploying information systems;
Clearly documenting system solutions, system architecture and business processes; and
Bachelor’s Degree in Computing Science or related technical engineering field;
7 + years of practical experience with operational systems support, architecture, analysis, and development;
Previous experience with supporting and enhancing in-house developed applications using best practices for application development and maintenance;
Experience in web application development and support (IIS, ASP, ASP.NET), .NET Programming (Visual Studio and C#);
Relational databases and SQL (SQL Server experience preferred) experience for the purposes of data analysis and application development;
Previous in-depth experience working with Windows based systems, servers and environments utilizing Windows 2003, n tier, and web;
Business analysis experience would be considered an asset – understanding the business domain, drawing out requirements, communicating, managing expectations and documentation;
