Field Marketing, Team Lead - Alberta At KIND

What you’ll do

As the Field Marketing Team Lead you will connect with targeted consumers through one-on-one sampling and brand experiences, with the goal of converting trial to purchase while building brand awareness. Reporting to the Field Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing local market initiatives, managing a team of KIND Brand Ambassadors, executing and overseeing brand centric events and grass roots sampling initiatives.

Bring KIND to life

  • Strategic ideation, planning and execution of sampling initiatives, reaching consumers where they live, work, play and shop
  • Research, coordinate and host marketing events and partnerships relevant to the brand and to the local market

  • Seed and develop relationships with market influencers, ultimately leading to increased brand visibility

  • Work with existing partners and seek out new opportunities based on marketing initiatives
  • Create weekly opportunistic sampling schedule for KIND vehicle program
  • Work with KIND’s agency partner to oversee all quarterly vehicle maintenance
  • Take on additional responsibilities as set forth by the Field Marketing Manager
  • Spend up to 70% of time working in the field, including weekends as needed
  • Responsible for tracking sampling data and results
  • Maintain storage unit, product, KIND vehicle, and assets inventory

Manage and Motivate KIND Brand Ambassadors

  • Interview, hire, train, manage and work with a team of part-time Brand Ambassadors (KBAs)
  • Create and maintain staffing schedule within local market budget

Seek out growth opportunities for KBAs and host routine performance check-ins and updates

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Calgary market along with a broad network base

You have…

  • 1 to 3 years of field marketing experience in an activation and sampling related leadership role
  • College degree strongly preferred OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience (events, promotions, media, consumer products marketing)
  • Business acumen as it pertains to marketing, communication, analytics and financials
  • Track record of success in field marketing and project management
  • Good driving record, reliable means of transportation, and valid driver’s license
  • Internet and Microsoft office fluency
  • Understanding of both marketing and sales fundamentals
