What you get to do: Under limited supervision, the finance intern assists the assistant director of finance as well as the team in performing multiple duties related to the accounting functions of the organization within established deadlines.
The ideal candidate for this position must be a detail-oriented self-starter who is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, s/he must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), be eager to learn and grow in the world of accounting/finance and have an overall can and will do attitude. S/he will learn the hotel accounting business around accounts receivable, accounts payable and get an insight to accounting.

What you will get to learn:
1. Accounts Receivable (manage & maintain accounts, collect funds, finalize group accounts)
3. Learn duties around Accounts Payable (learn the life of an invoice)
4. Assist with Audits and data entry
5. Learn how to work as a part of the finance team to track information and support the company and/or clients
6. Interact with other departments within the hotel and learn about Operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of an Accounting/Finance program with a required internship component.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
