The Manager IT Product Engineering CEX Crewmember Products has not only the technical chops to roll up their sleeves and provide technical leadership to major projects, but also manage a team of engineers and drive to outcomes successfully. The Manager leads the team to shape and deliver the products by leading, mentoring, guiding UI, Web Service resources for JetBlue’s CEX Crewmember products. The Manager ensures that information security and secure coding practices are ingrained in all that is delivered by the team.
Manage an engineering team that builds, designs, implements and maintains products for JetBlue’s CEX Crewmember products & services
Set goals, strategies, and oversee deployment of large-scale platforms and products across multiple sites
Influence and establish best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes and tools
Be an advocate for modern technologies and lead the way on forward looking technologies that continue to enhance and improve operations for our crewmembers and customers
Be a key voice in JetBlue’s architectural governance process
Provide engineering leadership inside JetBlue and manage collaboration with cross-functional Engineering teams to streamline and improve adoption of our products internally and externally
Design, code, unit test, conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to crewmembers and business partners on the team
Manage robust, secure and scalable systems in order to stay ahead of the demand
Lead and guide the team in Web/UI, Web Services and DevOps work
Representing the team at meetings in strategic product, project & resource discussions
Ensure quality, scalability of deliverables from all resources on the team by conducting code reviews and coaching / mentoring of resources on the modern UI stack, web services and DevOps activities
Ensure monitoring and testing of business continuance procedures, ensures response to system failures, and is proactive in building processes to minimize/ eliminate downtime. Develop service level risk management agreements with the business and with vendors.
Collaborate effectively with other IT Managers and crewmembers to ensure products, projects meet milestones, budgets and delivery dates
Manage onsite and offshore resources. Perform resource planning to deliver on the business strategy working with Matrix partners and business partners.
Manage the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors. Responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, coaching, mentoring and performance management.
Sound knowledge of the Web/UI engineering, Web Services and DevOps with proven leadership skills
Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, goal achievement
Make recommendations regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of software to increase the productivity and efficiency of crewmembers and customers.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related area
Five (5) years’ experience in modern web product design and delivery.
Experienced in developing web products, websites and web applications using modern Web technologies, languages, frameworks, web services and data repositories
Excellent analytical and interpersonal Skills
Strong knowledge of SDLC & Agile
Ability to create clear, concise business justifications and recommendations
Positive, upbeat energy and strong team player
Excellent problem solving and structured thinking skills
Excellent customer service skills and an understanding of how IT is ultimately delivered to the Customer
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Experience in business analysis, requirements reviews and creation of product designs for multiple platforms
Experience with building web, mobile products with responsive UI, at scale.
Experienced delivering solutions in hybrid environment leveraging onshore, offshore resources.
Experienced with the entire web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
Experienced in NodeJS, Java, Angular, microservices and other programming languages & approaches.
Experienced in continuous delivery using DevOps.
Experience with Scaled Agile
An understanding of the principles of accessibility and can build products that are accessible to users with disabilities.

Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
