Director, Integrated Marketing At Hudson's Bay Company (HBC)

Role Summary:
Provide leadership and direction in the development and planning of the 360 marketing for the designated businesses in alignment with the corporate brand, merchandising and marketing strategies. Provide specific business team direction in the development of the corporate 360 marketing strategy in collaboration with the broader marketing team and channel experts.
Ensure the tactical implementation of the business marketing strategies by leading their report direct(s), business partners, agency partners, and other marketing team members.
Proactively respond to changing business trends to optimize profitable sales by ensuring increased support and resources to positively trending businesses.

Who You Are:
  • Proactively respond to industry trends and consumer preferences in support of developing the 360 marketing strategies for the designated businesses. Research competitors advertising and to ensure a competitive advantage.
  • Actively participate with the marketing and business leadership teams in the development of the strategic marketing plan to deliver the corporate merchandising and marketing strategies.
  • Develop innovative and customer centric marketing plans in collaboration with the business leaders. Lead the rigorous vetting of the weekly marketing program to ensure achievement of the profitable sales plan for the designated businesses.
  • Ensure compliance to the production processes for designated business partners to ensure zero tolerance to the schedules and requirements
  • Measure and review the ongoing effectiveness of the marketing programs and communicate the results to the business partners. Based on the results, develop and implement financially viable �course correction� activity to ensure the achievement of the financial goals.
  • Provide effective communication to all internal stakeholders on initiatives and programs to enable flawless, consumer friendly execution
  • Analyze and research industry trends and consumer preferences in support of developing the marketing strategies for the designated businesses. Research competitors advertising and performance (if available) to ensure a competitive advantage for Hudson�s Bay in the market.
  • Provide leadership, career planning and coaching to direct report associate(s).
  • Manage the business budgeting process as required.
  • Lead the conceptualization, prioritization and calendarization of digital content and email strategy for an assigned area of business
  • Approve story ideation and feature prioritization based on key trends, vendors, items
  • Oversee the weekly site content and emails to merchants according to calendar
  • Partners with eComm Category Management team
  • Additional responsibilities as required





You Also Have:

  • Bachelor�s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 6 years experience in Marketing
  • Experience in retail preferred, although proven strong marketing/client development skills will also be relevant

  • Understanding of the Marketing function (traditional and digital)
  • Strong business accumen
  • A willingness to initiate change as the company grows in order to streamline processes, improve efficiency and facilitate the growth of the company
  • Strong leadership and team building skills, including mentoring, training and development
  • Ability to develop strong partners internally and externally across many different levels of the organization
