Digital Content Specialist At Hudson's Bay Company (HBC)

What This Position Is All About:
This Specialist role will report to the Director of Internal Communications for Hudson’s Bay Company, who is responsible for setting the strategy for company-wide employee communications programs and activities. This position will have a strong focus on strategic content creation – from creative narratives to visual graphics – in support of various company initiatives that reach a wide-variety of audiences. Examples include: content for employee campaigns, events, announcements, and digital channels. This individual will primarily support the Internal Communications team, but will collaborate with various business partners, such as Public Relations and Human Resources on their communications and design needs that align to company priorities. This individual will also help develop metrics of success and drive the continual visual evolution of internal communications, including concept development, copy creation and company templates . This position is based in NYC.

  • High motivated and able to take initiative, set priorities and juggle diverse tasks simultaneously
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Knowledge of video editing skills a plus
You Also Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a focus on communications and graphic design
  • Experience in writing/narrative development, editing, print production and digital design
  • Experience in supporting communications campaigns for employees and other audiences
  • Well-versed in tools: ability to format high-quality presentation graphics (using PowerPoint and Google Slides); update corporate materials in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Ability to learn new tools and programs quickly
  • Strategic thinker; someone who’s able to connect the dots when developing content for campaigns & programs
  • Provide assistance to administrative processes when needed
As The Communications Specialist, You Will:
  • Content creation in support of Internal Communications campaigns and communication programs
  • Content creation in support of partners’ communications needs that align to company priorities
  • Visual evolution of Internal Communications channels (e.g. template creation & evolution for IC channels)
  • Manage editorial content calendar
  • Administrative team duties as needed
