Beauty Marketing Specialist At Hudson's Bay Company (HBC)

What This Position Is All About:
The Beauty Marketing Specialist will support the Marketing Director and the Beauty Merchandising team in the development and implementation of the merchandise marketing strategies that are flawless in execution, on time and on budget. In this unique role, the Beauty Marketing Specialist will work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, ecommerce, Events and Social Media to support and enhance the Beauty and Fragrance voice across all marketing channels for the Hudson�s Bay customer.

  • You are innovative, tenacious and fanatical attention to detail
You Also Have:
  • Experience in Beauty & beauty events integral
  • Bachelor�s Degree in Marketing or Commerce preferred
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated and progressive success in marketing, advertising and/or product management roles
  • Strategically minded with background of the marketing function ( traditional and digital media)
  • Creative writing or blog experience ideal
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint with the ability and willingness to learn corporate technology
As The Beauty Marketing Specialist, You Will:
  • In partnership with Marketing Director, the Beauty DMM, support the development and execution of 360 marketing campaigns for Beauty at Hudson�s Bay
  • Act as a key cross-functional partner between Marketing, Social Media, ecommerce, Vendors, Buyers, and Events, the Specialist will support the development of a unique and enticing Beauty Marketing message for the customer
  • Create the seasonal/monthly "theme" calendar in conjunction with merchandising seasonal strategy and vendor launches
  • Align seasonal calendar with all areas of marketing messaging to allow consistent strong voice for customer (e.g. ecommerce, social email and print)
  • Develop seasonal calendar with in-store events with a key focus on Flagships locations. Work closely with the Corporate Events team to execute a minimum of one Flagship Beauty event per season and monthly promotional events and partner with in-store events team to ensure Beauty Galas and Fragrance launches tie back to Beauty strategy. Create an event protocol kit for stores
  • Collaborate with the team to develop thoughtful beauty event proposals. Recap and reconciliation of events in a timely manner within budget parameters
  • Contribute blog editorials to The Post each quarter with the Beauty and Fragrance trends with an emphasis on storytelling and trends
  • Support ecommerce with romance copy for Beauty and Fragrance items
  • Research and support the You Can video series by sourcing credible influencers and bloggers for Hudson�s Bay Beauty
  • Other duties as required in support of the marketing and merchandising teams
