Analyst, Co-op & Media Effectiveness At Hudson's Bay Company (HBC)

As the Analyst, Co-op & Media Effectiveness, you will:

  • Be responsible for detailed tracking of vendor funding against marketing expense. Reconcile period close and provide direction on accruals
  • Create timely reports that communicate marketing productivity results in a compelling, valuable way tailored to a variety of audiences across functions and business units
  • Perform extensive quantitative analyses, including, but not limited to, roll-ups or drill-downs, data metrics (e.g. sums, averages, percent change, share, share shift, etc), data sorting, data integration using multiple sources, and more advanced statistical analyses – all with an eye toward transforming data into insights which drive the business forward
  • Compile insights on marketing effectiveness of promotions and media using internal analytics software. Prior analyses work on sales productivity and efficiency an asset

Skills you Possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will work with multiple departments in Marketing and with the Merchant and Planning team
  • High competence with Excel for advanced analysis and graphing - statistical analysis and data consolidation
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficient with finance terms associated with Expense management and coordinating and tracking marketing expense
  • Proven methodical approach to complex situations that require measurement
  • Experience in statistical analysis (i.e. understanding of correlations, clustering, etc.)
  • Ability to create ad-hoc analytic reporting for new questions and issues for the business

You also have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience in retail or consumer packaged goods and exposure to retail measurement metrics (sales, margins, promotions, ROAS, etc.)
