The Operations Associate works with the Customer Service team to maximize tenant and home-owner satisfaction in this real estate tech startup. This person is in charge of analyzing house issues reported by tenants and internal teams, and then scheduling and managing the internal maintenance team and external vendors to ensure full resolution of issues to the satisfaction of tenants and home-owners tenants. They also help develop strategic plans to increase efficiency and scale the business.
-Coordinate with Customer Service, Maintenance and external vendors to resolve house issues and work to establish preventative maintenance plans to eliminate issues at the root cause.
-Recruit new external service vendors and develop relationships with new and existing vendors, including negotiating discounts and developing SLAs (service level agreements).
-Engage with and support vendors while they're performing jobs.
-Make decisions on escalations without input from manager or other teams.
-Manage house issue workflow in ZenDesk.
-Review accuracy of invoices from vendors, and work with vendors to rectify discrepancies.
-Be available at times on nights and weekends to help with any emergency house issues that might arise.
-Act as liaison with other HubHaus teams to educate them on learnings about houses and tenants to ensure better selection of both.
-Work with Product and Tech teams to help develop technology to streamline operational processes.
-At least 2+ years experience working with maintenance issues or managing service vendors
-Ability to work with other team members and other teams to jointly manage tasks and provide and receive valuable feedback and learnings
-Knowledge of workflow and communications tools, such as ZenDesk and Slack
-College degree preferred
-Startup experience a plus
-Property management and/or real estate tech experience a plus
