Jr. Financial Analyst At Diversey, Inc.

Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Jr. Financial Analyst analyzes business performance and financial expenditures by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; drawing conclusions, making projections and driving program, process and policy improvements to improve cash flow and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development and financial analyses of distributor programs for Direct Customers including P&L’s
  • Proactively conducting analyses, finding/communicating opportunities with a clear bent for action and continuous improvement
  • Calculate and process complex program rebates on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis for assigned distributor and contracts, ensuring accurate and timely payments
  • Monitor accrual levels for assigned programs and report variances for corrective action
  • Maintain “cash payment tracker” tracker for input into cash forecasting/treasury process
  • Perform detailed analysis for Direct Customers using sell-in, sell-out and Re-D to identify trends, and R&O’s
  • Provide financial models and forecasting for program within span of control and at management’s request
  • Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts at MBR and AOP
  • Analyze business performance with a financial lens and recommend changes to improve ROI
  • Create and update process documentation for assigned areas of responsibility and program payments
  • Assist in the review current data policy/data gaps and help design and enforce new data policy.
  • Assist in the development of processes to improve the quality and timeliness of Indirect Sales Data & Reporting
  • Work with Sales, Finance, Pricing and/or the customer to resolve issues on program payments
  • Work with AR Deduction and Collections teams to research and resolve deductions
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and clearly communicate findings
  • Assist with external audits as requested
  • Interact with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, A/R, Customers

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business, accounting or finance strongly preferred)
  • 2+ years relevant finance experience
  • Experience with SAP and Business Objects beneficial, proficiency with some finance systems preferred
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables, vlookups)
