Specialist - Strategic Marketing Planning - Marketplace

Are you a marketing and communications professional with demonstrated capabilities in designing, producing and executing strategic client-focused marketing programs? Work you’ll do
Strategic Marketing Planners (SMPs) serve as trusted marketing advisors to their business leaders and key stakeholders. Responsible for developing strategic marketing plans for best-in-class marketing operations as well as oversight for marketing campaign execution. In addition, SMPs build specific programs, utilizing innovative, go-to-market tools and approaches, to bring the full capabilities of the firm to bear with maximum reach and impact to the market. This role will support a variety of campaigns and activations in markets across the U.S.

Strategic Marketing Planner responsibilities:
  • Develops, maintains, and drives prioritization of marketing activities for a specific campaign or activation.
  • Drives collaboration between the businesses, industry and other colleagues to drive strategic marketing campaigns
  • Coordinates with Internal Communications around initiation and development of strategic marketing campaigns
  • Collaborates with PR team to drive media coverage when applicable
  • Engages other SMPs to coordinate campaign activities and pull in other capabilities, as appropriate
  • Manages overall marketing calendar, including major campaigns, product/offering launches, major events, and core marketing maintenance activities
  • Along with Green Dot Agency, develops metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success at the campaign, activity and channel levels to inform future campaign tactics
  • Brings innovative thinking and marketing practices to all marketing activities
  • Collaborates with Marketplace leadership and Green Dot Agency to advise and/or lead strategic activations for markets across the U.S.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field

  • Work experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business Development, including internships desired

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proven experience with collaborative writing processes, a variety of corporate communication styles, and knowledge of the editorial process

  • Strong project and time management skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team in a professional services or multi-departmental company
