Our client, Encorp Pacific (Canada) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit, product stewardship corporation with beverage container management as their core business. Their mandate is to develop, manage and improve systems to recover end-of-life products from consumers and ensure that they are properly recycled and not land-filled or incinerated.
Encorp operates a large scale collection and recycling system for used beverage containers throughout the province. The collection network involves 171 independent Return It™depots, 300 grocery outlets, 30 transportation companies, and 20 processor and end recyclers. They also provide contracted services to other stewardship programs including the collection of end of life electronic products, and the transportation of packaging and printed paper material.
The most recent development is the addition of a program to recycle large household appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, household washers and dryers.
This created the need for a bright, flexible individual with three years administration experience to assume the new role of Program and Brand Registry Coordinator.
Reporting to the Program Manager and Assistant Controller, this position will be responsible for providing support to ensure successful delivery of service contracts as well as maintenance of corporate brand registry of beverage containers. This will include servicing public inquiries regarding Encorp’s recycling programs, facilitating conversations with customers, handling queries and complaints as well as assisting the program manager in the organisation of collection events.
Qualified candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detailed and accurate, able to meet tight deadlines and multitask workload. They will have well honed interpersonal and listening skills and be proficient in data entry and the use of Microsoft Office. Preference will be shown to those with a college or university level education who can be both part of the team and work independently with minimal supervision.
In return the position offers a competitive salary and a solid benefit program including RRSP matching. Working to protect the environment also brings with it additional unique, non-monetary rewards.
