Senior Industrial Sales Representative At David Aplin Group

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Senior Industrial Sales Representative.

Our client, established in 1985, is a global leader in commercial services with a strong emphasis on continuous development of new services. We are looking to hire an Industrial Sales Specialist who will elevate the organization by building trust, respect, and establishing best practices while working with NDE maintenance, inspection, and construction end users. Your role will be to identify pain points and become a solution provider for your customer.

The Role:
  • Conduct appropriate internal/external research, recommend sales approach and respond to request in a timely manner
  • Working with the Canadian Sales Manager, prepare account plans with target accounts, and review and update progress on a quarterly basis
  • Build a strong relationship with your customers in a fast-paced, constant moving environment
  • Develop and manage a business plan to achieve and exceed objectives
  • Work to eliminate obstacles that hinder productivity and promote effective sales operations. Active involvement in crisis management and operational productivity issues i.e.: service issues, customer complaints, emergency customer visits
  • Prepare sales proposals and conduct sales presentations for prospective customers
  • Developing the market by actively prospecting for new sale opportunities
  • Develop and understanding of the customers business needs and future requirements
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy, customer visits, through effective time management
  • Maintain records of customer communications and contact information in Salesforce
  • Communicate on a daily basis with the sales coordinator, work as a team in order to respond to customer inquiries and expectations
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years of experience within industrial sales (B2B, preferably in the inspection and testing, nondestructive testing, laboratory inspection, pipeline inspection, field heat treating, heat up dry out, leak repair, emissions control, and hot tap services)
  • Industrial Trade, CET, or Engineering degree preferred
  • Extensive experience with Inspection, Mechanical, Heat Treatment
  • Proven "closer" success
  • Ability to think outside the box to develop innovative solutions for the customer
  • Must be hands-on and willing to contribute more than just the task at hand
