Sales Representative At David Aplin Group

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, an innovative leader in their field, to add a Sales Representative to their growing team.

Working from a home office, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring, expanding and maintaining a defined territory to ultimately increase company revenue through sales of promoted products.

The Role:
  • Identify, qualify, and close on new business opportunities to meet fiscal goals
  • Work with sales channels to raise awareness of company offerings in order to increase market share
  • Leverage discussions with target accounts to contribute toward the company’s general understanding of the market and complete annual competitive review
  • Help develop a diversified customer base in many different market areas such as consumer goods, cosmetics, personal care, industrial.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of sales, including forecasts, reporting, and territory planning
  • Demonstrate a track record of success through consultative selling with an understanding customers’ business requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and other stakeholders
  • Complete orders and ensure job specs are documented for flow through to production, logistics, and ultimately to delivery
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure overall client satisfaction

The Ideal Candidate:
  • 7+ years of B2B selling
  • Demonstrate an ability to conduct a thorough needs assessment with a target account
  • Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness
  • Above-average verbal and written communication skills;
  • Post secondary education preferred
  • Print and/or packaging experience is preferred;
  • Valid class 5 drivers license
  • Experience in use of CRM software packages.
  • Ability to travel internationally
