Digital Advertising Coordinator At David Aplin Group

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Digital Advertising Coordinator for their office in Toronto.

This is an entry-level opportunity and great opportunity to get into the Digital Media sector!!

The Role:
  • Manage day-to-day programmatic buys from campaign launch to end, including, but not limited to, setting bid strategies, performance & pacing monitoring, identifying and implementing optimizations (by target audience, content, creative, etc.), providing proactive recommendations and insights
  • Understand how to manage different kinds of goals and requirements (awareness, CPA, viewability, CTR, etc.)
  • Provide strategy, recommendations, reports and high-value insights in the form of campaign data analysis, interpretation and actionable advice that align with, or enhance, strategy/business goals to client services and sales on a regular basis
  • Analyze campaign performance and deliver case studies to aid in the production of best practice examples
  • Understand performance objectives and KPIs, and assist in the development of successful programmatic strategies
  • Offer technical support and provide solutions, troubleshoot underperforming or under-delivering campaigns, discrepancies and any other campaign issues that may arise
  • Manage campaign expectations and communicate upsell opportunities to the sales team
  • Maintain a high degree of technical proficiency and knowledge across the platforms and toolsets within which you will be working
  • Provide feedback to the Team Lead on new market or platform functionality
  • Ensure campaign execution is performed efficiently, accurately and with excellence
  • Develop external executive-level post-campaign reports for clients that communicate insights in a clear, concise and valid way
  • Serve as an expert on all aspects of programmatic planning and campaign management processes, RTB, exchanges, and ad networks
  • Develop and implement testing plans that align with client goals and objectives and ensure an on-going testing schedule and drive innovation
  • Maintain on-going knowledge of media buying platforms updates, and keep on top of industry trends, new technology, and current events that may impact client business

What you need to apply
  • 1+ years in digital marketing or working experience in a similar analytical role
  • Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics
  • Must be proficient in MS Office particularly Excel, with demonstrated ability to organize and consolidate multiple data sources for analysis
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation-crafting and storytelling skills
  • Experience with reporting & data visualization tools preferred, particularly BI dashboard development
  • Technical acumen required to understand how to execute campaigns in a way that optimizes the use of our platform
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, data interpretation and research skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional oral and written communication skills; impeccable written and spoken English
Bonus!
  • Experience in a digital media analytics role
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of VBA/Excel Macros and R or Python
  • Familiarity with REST and JSON APIs
  • Client facing experience
  • Knowledge of digital media landscape, including key technologies, business models, standards/guidelines, technology platforms and products
  • Direct experience with ad serving technology and/or working in an RTB ad exchange, DSP or trading-desk environment
  • Hands-on experience working in the Google Marketing Platform environments
  • Understanding of media strategy, digital campaign workflows and an appreciation for marketer considerations like contextual relevance and brand safety
