The Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Finance department has a rare and exciting opportunity for an accounting professional as full-time Account Coordinator. The essential responsibilities of this position are the daily reconciliations of accounts receivable; the verification of cash/check/money order/and
ACH's; the daily deposits (both electronic and Walk-In) into bank accounts.
The Account Coordinator is also responsible for completing and maintaining the integrity of scanned/electronic verification files of all reports and documents; maintaining Accounts Receivable in
Sage 300 for new Meyerson events and other receivables; assisting Staff Accountant with Automated
Accounts Payable; assisting Controller and Senior Manager of Budgeting & Financial Analysis with various account reconciliations and projects; assisting with annual audit; maintaining Finance File Room, including destruction of obsolete files and organization of retained files; and other Finance Department duties/projects as assigned.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in MS Word and
Excel required as well as knowledge of ACCPAC or other accounting software. Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and auditing experience helpful. Experience with SAGE and Tessitura applications would be ideal.
