The Accountant II performs accounting and applies theory, principles, and practices to various municipal accounting transactions and problems. Work may include analyzing and monitoring the use of financial resources; assisting in the design and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems; liquidation of Purchase Orders; reviewing and maintaining financial reports; processing payments; performing journal entries; and conducting research on contracted City vendors payments. This position collects, evaluates, and analyzes data, manages vendor contracts and writes reports, and other correspondence. Must have experience with SRM, SAP and VIM reporting and analytics. Serves as a liaison between city departments and Finance Department.

There are Accountant II positions in nineteen departments across the City. This recruitment will be used to fill any vacancy that occurs over over the life of the eligible list.
$50,066 - $76,211 annually
