Job Summary

This position will support the implementation and development of the Dynamics 365 platform, and at a
minimum require in depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 modules, platform integration patterns, APIs,
connectors, Dynamics REST services, entity customizations, and workflow development, utilizing both Agile
and DevOps methodologies.

Responsible for designing, configuring, customizing, enhancing and/or integrating large-scale
applications/solutions for assigned clients in response to new or changing business requirements, and/or for
assigned projects; maintaining these applications/solutions; and providing client and technical support.

As part of a team including Senior Analysts, Leads, Solution Developers, Project Managers and others, the
Solution Analyst acts as an advisor to clients to assist them in understanding technology capabilities to meet
business needs; supports the design, development and implementation of solutions; configures tools and
writes solution specification and technical requirements; and provides technical support and expertise. The
Solution Analyst is responsible for supporting a range of smaller-scale, or specific components of
larger-scale, business applications/solutions for assigned client groups and/or projects.

The position is also responsible for writing and maintaining systems documentation; ensuring all code is
managed appropriately by using software configuration management tools; following the approved project
lifecycle (PLC), as appropriate; and performing tests on enhancements and new development.

Education & Experience

Completion of a three (3) year university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related
field

Minimum of three (3) years of related experience with specific experience in the relevant technical
competency area including software/application development and integration

  • Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for
stipulated academic requirements.

Language, Certificates & Licenses

English oral, reading, writing required

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of technical competency area and applicable software/related tools
- Understanding of and experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience utilizing DevOps methodologies and associated tools Experience building QA test

strategies and using automated tools/techniques
- Understanding of business relationship management
- IT Service Management principles and standards
- IT security principles and standards
- General knowledge of City programs/services, operations and business processes
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers

Competencies & Skills

  • Research and data analysis
- Business and technical requirement gathering, analysis and verification
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write and verbally present information
- Technical writing skills to create/maintain solution documentation for internal and external users, with

attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, completeness, usability and style
