Responsible for analyzing, compiling, interpreting, evaluating and publishing data within the geospatial
environment and beyond. The GIS Project Coordinator is responsible for strategic and technical services to
support geospatial workflows. Reviewing results and extracting appropriate data and transcribing information
into reports, infographics and other visualization products. Responds to requests for information, provides
technical advice on the input and handling of data, design standards, data translation and investigates and
handles complaints received by the department regarding geospatial information
Education & Experience
Successful completion of a three year GIS Technology Diploma or related discipline.
Five (5) years related experience in Geomatics field.
Preference to experience in a municipal environment and experience with ESRI ArcGIS.
Language, Certificates & Licenses
English oral, reading, writing required.

- Experience implementing web mapping and understanding mobile field solutions
- ESRI ArcGIS 9 and Microstation XM and above
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
