This is clerical communications and marketing work assisting in the production of the City’s printed and electronic promotional materials. An incumbent compiles, drafts, edits and designs the presentation of brochures, reports, publications, advertisements for approval by a superior; prepares and updates established information that appears regularly in printed and electronic guides; monitors, updates, and maintains online content; assists with the preparation, coordination, production and distribution of promotional materials. Some independence of judgement and action is exercised within established guidelines and policies referring matters of a difficult or policy nature to a superior, who reviews work performance in terms of effective clerical, communications and design services rendered.
Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures and of the policies, procedures, rules and regulations applicable to the work.
Sound knowledge of the objectives and policies of the City as they relate to the work.
Sound knowledge of software, equipment, and tools applicable to the work.
Ability to review program descriptions from a wide variety of sources and modify to a consistent presentation and format.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of correspondence, reports and records related to the work.
Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia.
