The Hamilton Police Service is looking for a passionate, dedicated person who is committed to building relationships between our community partners and the Hamilton Police Service. Hamilton is a very diverse community where both diversity and inclusion are embraced. As a police service it is of upmost importance to us that we are connected to our community through sharing of information, public education sessions, policy development, training and in delivering police services.
In this role you will be responsible for developing, coordinated, planning, implementing and evaluating the community relations services to our community. You will seek out community relationships, ensuring all community groups are represented, to bridge the HPS initiatives through effective communication. The ideal candidate has: a BA in a related discipline, extensive experience in building relationships with multiple community partners in a high visibility role, highly developed communication skills, conflict resolution skills, experience in training and facilitation and has a valid class G Driver’s license.
