Strategic Account Manager - Publisher Support At CafeMedia

Location: New York, New York

Job Description

CafeMedia is looking for an analytical, solutions-oriented Strategic Account Manager who is passionate about data and managing client relationships.

Using the same industry-leading solution as our AdThrive platform, CafeMedia Ad Management (CAM) simplifies the advertising ecosystem for enterprise publishers, enabling them to maximize their ad revenue while freeing them up to do what they do best: create great content. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for supporting client relationships and assisting in managing performance, both at the request of clients as well as internally to optimize performance. The ideal candidate is a programmatic expert with a publisher-first mentality and the knowledge and expertise to effectively support publisher stakeholders and executives. The Account Manager will take a consultative approach to developing deep customer relationships and collaborate closely with a number of internal, cross-functional teams, reporting to the Director of Strategic Accounts.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary external contact for clients on a day to day basis
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients by assisting with all of their requests and needs:
    • Ensure timely and accurate onboarding for new clients by coordinating with internal teams involved in the process and communicating onboarding needs and expectations to the client
    • Proactively provide regular check-ins once a partner goes live - in person and using video conferencing tools
    • Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews for all accounts within the book of business
    • Monitor and analyze performance for each partner and address any performance shifts - both positive and negative
    • Provide reporting access and lead walkthrough sessions of publisher dashboards
    • Lead training and knowledge-share sessions for partners to further their industry education and act as a subject matter expert in programmatic
    • Help manage a variety of non-direct (i.e. programmatic) campaigns and PMP deals – QA set up, checking performance, pacing monitoring, reporting
    • Consult with yield and revenue teams to optimize performance and programmatic stack
  • Communicate with the sales and marketing teams to provide data needed for sales forecasts and client proposals
  • Optimize client direct campaigns for a variety of success metrics – seek opportunities to improve campaign performance
  • Assure publisher optimization plans are implemented internally and communicated externally to partner (client/agency)
  • Facilitate external reporting, billing and payment questions
  • Assist team in improving internal processes and communication across all teams

Experience

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; prior client-facing project management experience required
  • Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of pivot tables and data visualization platforms
  • Strong understanding of any aspect of the digital media industry (social media, SEO, etc.)
  • Extremely detail oriented, organized and process driven
  • Quick learner who loves to pick up new tools/skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on digital account management experience at Internet publisher or Internet media buying agency (significant plus)
  • Experience and/or knowledge of viewability, in-demo and brand safety tracking a plus
  • Experience and/or knowledge of programmatic buying and audience retargeting a plus
  • Ad operations knowledge a plus
