Role and Responsibilities

(English to follow)

  • Dans un environnement de haute technologie et de produits civils/militaires, déceler les problèmes logiciels/matériels et jouer un rôle actif dans leur résolution tout en tenant les ingénieurs et les techniciens concernés au courant.
  • Assembler les divers composants logiciels afin de créer le produit de formation Simfinity.
  • Participer activement aux réunions quotidiennes dans SCRUM.
  • Diriger les ingénieurs en logiciel et leur offrir un soutien technique pendant l'intégration de leurs systèmes.
  • Assurer le contrôle la gestion de la configuration des logiciels.
  • Être responsable de la plateforme de simulation, de la préparation et de la maintenance.
  • Agir à titre de personne-ressource principale pour tout aspect technique dans le laboratoire.
  • Assurer un fonctionnement adéquat de la simulation.
  • Valider au préalable les changements et les corrections devant être apportés au produit final.
  • Se déplacer à l'occasion sur les sites des clients afin de soutenir l'équipe de déploiement dans le cadre de l'installation du produit Simfinity.
  • Transmettre les renseignements sur le projet (état d'avancement, risques, etc.) à la haute direction.

Exigences:

  • Baccalauréat en génie logiciel ou en informatique. Expérience connexe en intégration logicielle ou du matériel, un atout.
  • Connaissance des langages de programmation C, C++ et FORTRAN et du langage de script.
  • Connaissance des outils de développement Microsoft pour la plateforme Windows (Visual Studio.NET 2005 et versions ultérieures).
  • Connaissance d'un outil de gestion de la configuration, p. ex. Starteam.
  • Connaissance des outils utilisés pour le débogage des logiciels (.NET et/ou Windbg, DBX, GDB).
  • Connaissance des techniques de débogage des logiciels.
  • Connaissance des produits R5 Framework et Simfinity, un atout.
  • Connaissance des logiciels et des applications de CAE, un atout (LaunchPad, Davinci, OneUI, CAELIB, STARTEAM, cadriciel STRIVE, cadriciel ACS, systèmes visuels, et SIM XXI).
  • Connaissance des systèmes simulés et de l'interface avionique/ des tableaux de bord, un atout.
  • Connaissance du développement Agile (JIRA), un atout.
  • Personne motivée, autonome, dynamique ayant un bon esprit d'équipe.
  • Excellent sens de l'organisation et de la planification. Capacité d'adaptation rapide à l'évolution technologique.
  • Souplesse et grande responsabilité liée aux projets et aux tâches attribuées ainsi que capacité de travailler et de prendre des décisions sans supervision.
  • Capacité de résoudre les problèmes.
  • Approche axée sur les résultats.
  • Grand talent pour la communication.
  • Bonne connaissance de l'environnement Windows ou UNIX et du matériel pour PC.
  • Disposé à se déplacer sur les sites des clients à l'occasion (jusqu'à 25 % du temps).

  • In an environment of high technologies and civil/military products, detect the software / hardware problems and take an active part in solving them while keeping the engineers and technicians concerned posted.
  • Assemble the various software components in order to create the Simfinity training product.
  • Actively participate in daily SCRUM meetings
  • Lead and offer technical support to software engineers during integration of their systems.
  • Ensure software configuration management control.
  • Responsible for the simulation platform, preparation and maintenance.
  • Be the first point of contact for any technical matter in the lab.
  • Ensure proper simulation operation.
  • Pre-validate changes and corrections in the final product.
  • Occasionally travel to CAE customer sites to support the deployment team’s installation of Simfinity product.
  • Provide project (status, risks, etc) information to upper management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Computer science. Related experience in software or hardware integration an asset.
  • Knowledge of C, C++ and FORTRAN programming languages and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft development tools for Windows platform (Visual Studio.NET 2005 and higher).
  • Knowledge of a configuration management tool e.g. Starteam.
  • Knowledge of tools used for software debugging (.NET and/or Windbg, DBX, GDB).
  • Knowledge of software debugging techniques.
  • Knowledge of R5 Framework and Simfinity products an asset
  • Knowledge of CAE software and applications an asset (LaunchPad, Davinci, OneUI, CAELIB, STARTEAM, STRIVE framework, ACS framework, Visual Systems and SIM XXI).
  • Knowledge of simulated systems and instruments/avionics interface an asset.
  • Knowledge of Agile development (JIRA) an asset
  • Self-motivated, independent, dynamic, team player.
  • Strong planning and organizational skill. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and strong project and assigned tasks ownership as well as ability to work and make decisions unsupervised.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Result-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good Knowledge of Windows and/or UNIX Environment and PC hardware.
  • Availability to travel to customer sites on occasion (up to 25% of the time).
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
