Bunker Capital is building a new model of token services built on a foundation of good people, strong relationships, and personal service.

Job Description

Bunker Capital is hiring a Social Media Manager for our Los Angeles and/or Miami office to focus on building and maintaining the community surrounding the projects we are supporting. While this role is primarily oriented toward social media and community outreach, a successful applicant will be able to contribute to various other digital marketing and design tasks when needed.

The job will require jump starting and maintaining the social presence and communities for all the projects currently within the Bunker portfolio. This will entail implementing the outreach and social marketing plans for these projects on a day-to-day basis and maintaining the momentum generated through traditional marketing channels. A successful candidate will be expected to manage all aspects of the social marketing plans for each project and identify any shortcomings in planning or implementation, able to adjust to changes and challenges in short order. Beyond this, they will be expected to build and grow digital communities that generate capital and investor interest, and convert community members into users.

Responsibilities

The social media manager shall be responsible for developing and implementing a social media marketing plan, which includes tasks that encompass:

  • Brand development
  • Identifying target customers
  • Identifying goals and KPIs
  • Web development and content strategy
  • Promotion strategy
  • Engagement strategy
  • Conversion strategy
  • Measuring and Analyzing ROI

Some Challenges You Will Face

  • Day to day management of sequential paid social marketing programs that drive users throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Serve as the social platform subject matter expert – understanding trends and working with teams to implement these findings into current and future strategies.
  • Partner with the marketing team to understand the editorial calendar and content flow, and to ensure the promotion plan and strategy is in place for future events.
  • Build out new campaigns based on information garnered from current implementations.
  • Partnering with designers to ensure creative assets are optimized for performance.
  • Working closely with channel partners including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc to deeply understand ad platforms and identify opportunities for our current client projects.

Requirements

A suitable Social Media Manager will understand the ins and outs of their field and an ability to demonstrate relevant technical skills and knowledge in the following areas:

SEO: A successful media manager understands the importance of SEO and can come up with ideas that align with each project’s strategy. This will involve collaboration with content providers on the team in order to best optimize posts and social interaction.

Social Media Expertise: You must be very knowledgeable or be an expert with regards to social media. The field is in constant flux and will require ongoing education and upkeep as to the shifting landscape. Additionally, you must have a keen sense of what type of content is optimal for which social media network and client.

Customer Service Skills: You will be interacting with customers and enthusiasts and will be expected to manage these interactions to a successful conclusion.

Mastery of Social Media Management Tools: The Social Media Manager will be managing several social media accounts and will be expected to manage this process efficiently.

Social Media Creativity: Social media combines elements of art and science. A successful candidate will be able to exhibit traits relating to both.

Social Media Copywriting: You will be interacting with customers and enthusiasts and will be expected to have great communication skills and energy. You must have great copywriting skills and be able to explain complex concepts easily.

An Eye for Design: The social media manager must know how to match photos and videos with posts, with an eye for design. A top candidate will understand how to leverage current platforms to maximize views and impact.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of direct working experience developing content and managing social properties in a corporate or start up environment.
  • BA or BS with a focus on communication, advertising, and/or marketing.
  • Demonstratable experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Demonstratable experience leveraging social media management and analytical tools with platforms such as HootSuite.
  • Demonstratable experience with writing, editing, and crafting content for the social media space.
  • Experience with photography and/or photo editing software not required, but a plus.
