Sales Manager At BuildDirect

The Sales Manager leads a team of outbound sales representatives. This is a rapidly growing new team within the company and requires someone with a strong sense of urgency and ownership. Reporting to the Business Development leader, the Sales Manager thrives when faced with challenging sales goals, and can successfully lead and manage a team to exceed revenue and sales metrics. You are someone with 3+ years sales leadership experience who thrives on building, developing and coaching a high performing sales team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and execute the sales strategy in alignment with company’s annual revenue and margin goals.
  • Define clear targets and sales best practices for your sales team.
  • Develop and coach sales reps on prospecting, selling skills, processes, tool adoption, and critical problem solving in order to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Establish and manage weekly and monthly business reviews with your team in order to build bi-directional communication, gain an understanding of training and development needs, and provide coaching to improve individual performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Operations to identify and drive improvements in processes, systems and tools in order to enhance customer experience and optimize revenue.
  • Grow your team through hiring and onboarding new sales reps.
  • Establish voice of customer mechanisms that capture key customer insights and feedback that can be leveraged throughout the company.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Ensure quarterly and yearly revenue targets are met.
  • Ensure individual team members achieve or exceed revenue and metric objectives.

What You Must Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales, with at least 2 years in a sales management capacity.
  • Experience managing sales processes and metrics via a CRM solution (preferably Salesforce)
  • Demonstrated consistent achievement of revenue targets and other KPIs
  • Strong empathy and the ability to understand other’s perspectives
  • Well-developed problem solving skills and the ability to determine the root cause of a problem
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive to succeed
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment
  • Experience defining and driving adoption of new sales processes
  • A strong learning orientation and a desire to improve each day
  • Experience interviewing and hiring
