Email Marketing & Automation Specialist At BuildDirect

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

Be a part of our growing marketing team and transform our email marketing programs! You’ll take our campaigns to new levels with your ability to continually test and evaluate approaches, implement new ideas, and enhance our segmentation strategies. If you are a data-driven marketer who is accountable for their goals and known for advanced marketing automation, project management skills, strong execution, and a positive attitude, we want to talk to you!

Examples of the awesome things you’ll be doing

  • Achieve annual and quarterly revenue and KPI targets for the email channel
  • Own the email marketing channel and execute all components of email marketing campaigns to include: strategy, developing the email campaign calendar, producing emails (with support from our in house design and copy teams), segmentation, effective targeting tactics, automation set-up, reporting, executing sends and list management.
  • Implementation of triggered journeys designed to drive value and enhance customer retention.
  • Grow active subscriber list in line with company objectives to grow DIY and Pro customers.
  • Conduct experiments and tests, observing results, comparing to hypotheses, adjusting, and repeating. Documenting and disseminating learnings to team.
  • Ensure emails are thoroughly tested and correctly targeted prior to scheduling.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of all marketing activities in order to drive the overall strategy for email Marketing and Marketing Automation
  • Manage existing email vendor and agency relationships, and lead vendor identification and selection process for future partnerships
  • Stay on top of new trends in email content and strategy, including responsive design

What You’ll Achieve

  • Reduce conversion window of DIY and Pro segments (Pro program signups to qualified sales leads, and DIY subscribers to revenue)
  • Achieve click through rates of > 5% and open rates of > 30% through continuous A/B testing
  • Increase email capture from visitors to our site by 1.5%
  • Increase email marketing revenue for Pro by 10% YOY and DIY by 15% YOY

Examples of the experience and people we love here

  • 2+ years email marketing and automation experience
  • Degree in marketing, digital marketing or a related field
  • Experience developing and implementing segmentation strategies
  • Proficient HTML and CSS email coding skills
  • Strong digital analytics background with proven success in translating data into insights and action; working knowledge of Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel
  • Writing SQL queries and analyzing data for segmentation is preferred
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms such as ExactTarget, Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, IBM Marketing Cloud (Silverpop), Mautic etc
  • Sales marketing automation experience on platforms like Salesloft, Outreach, or similar is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CANSPAM and CASL legislation.
  • Understands how to think through the user journey that surrounds the email experience
