The GWIM Event Lead for Central works closely with Global Event Marketing Senior Management, Staffing Director, other Event Leads, Event Managers, LOB Marketing partners and LOB leadership on strategic planning and calendaring of client/prospect thought leadership and hospitality events primarily in Central part of the US. This includes but not limited to the development and recommendation of events and their content strategy to achieve LOB goals and priorities.The Event Lead also coordinates the staffing of the events with the Staffing Lead and the planning, management and execution of events with local planners. This role will focus on working across LOBs and Marketing to uncover event opportunities to deliver one company. Events can include external talent and internal executive speaking engagements, food and wine receptions/dinners, golf outings, sporting events, museum and performing arts experiences, leadership offsites, multi-day client events and small conferences, etc.
The Event Lead will be responsible for ensuring all events are within our team's Rules of Engagement, as well as providing direction/input on overall event plan to assigned planners including all GWIM specific processes and procedures. The Event Lead is also responsible for reviewing and approving the portfolio of events to ensure all audit requirements are in place, as well as securing all event spend approvals.
Other responsibilities include event operational support such as updating forecasts and budgets, adherence to all compliance related requirements, registering events in various systems and ensuring all post-event reporting is completed timely and accurately. Finally there may be ad hoc projects as deemed necessary.
