The Energy Upgrade Application Engineer- Canada, interacts with external and internal sources to coordinate a winning position for key Energy Upgrade projects. The role is accountable for targeting Energy Upgrade projects in Canada and ensure a ‘project winning strategy’ by understanding the chilled water plant system & recommending optimum design and configuration.
The Energy Upgrade Application Engineer will report to the Energy Upgrade, Business Development Manager, Canada. and works directly with each of the members of the Canadian intermal and external Sales organization. The role interacts with all functional areas of Armstrong, customers, industry specialists, industry organizations, and represents Armstrong on industry committees as applicable to the position.
The individual in this position maintains and expands market knowledge and increases contacts with customers through field travel and by attending relevant tradeshows, symposiums and conferences.
Key deliverables for the Energy Upgrade Application Engineer are project win-rate, profitability and successful project execution to; schedule, budget and specification ensuring excellent customer experience.
Key Accountabilities:
Identify key projects:
Qualify projects using a variety of criteria with Energy Upgrade Sales Engineer
Develop and Manage Proposals for Energy Upgrade
Articulate the Energy Upgrade value proposition with customers and ensure follow-up
Develop project selections:
Determine which products & configurations to offer
Size and select appropriate products utilizing internal software
Develop and implement standard proposal
Winning Strategy:
Complete market & account coverage
Engage Customer with Design Envelope Value Articulations
Expert site energy analysis, and system recommendations
Application and training support:
Support the development of product and application training materials and tools
Participate in internal and external training programs
